The Ethiopian parliament issued Civil Societies organizations proclamation no 1113/2019 with the aim of ensuring the fullest exercises of freedom of association to protect the rights of citizens and to enhance the development and the democratization of the country. In addition the proclamation aims to regulate civil societies to the extent beneficial to the public. In this regards, the proclamation balancing the constitutional right of freedom of association strictly regulates charities and societies from entries to exits. Thus, the newly coming and the existing non-governmental organization must comply with the laws and regulations of the sector.
